Services Offered
Program
Description
Offering child and family therapy among other family support services. Caregivers are supported to provide unconditional regard to children, learning to identify and respond to child's needs rather than react to difficult behaviors.
Project Welcome: A Perinatal Wellness Program Project Welcome provides support services to parents of all genders who may be struggling with substance use and/or mood and anxiety disorders throughout pregnancy and the first years of their child’s life.
Let’s get real: being pregnant (or having a partner who is pregnant) and the years that follow can be hard. Really hard. Research shows that one in seven mothers experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy or postpartum, as do one in ten fathers. Increased depression and anxiety are often predecessors to increased substance use.
At Project Welcome, we believe that pregnant and parenting people who use drugs and/or alcohol deserve access to services in a welcoming, shame-free environment that reduces harm to both parents and their children while increasing compassionate, high-quality care. We believe that people are not their addictions, and substance use doesn’t have to mean the end of quality family connection.
At Partnership for Children, all families have a place to feel welcome.
Project Welcome Services Include the Following:
Prenatal Counseling
Postpartum Depression Counseling
Substance Use Counseling
Targeted Case Management
Family Therapy
Peer Support
Parent Child Interaction Therapy ( PCIT )
Family-Focused Substance Use Treatment Addiction among parents and/or youth affects the whole family unit. Using the developmental-relational approach, we meet families where they're at with comprehensive outpatient substance use treatment. At Partnership for Children, all families have a place to feel welcome.
Family-Focused Peer Support Services Partnership for Children's Peer Support Program offers support to parents who are overcoming substance use and mental health challenges by providing side-by-side accompaniment with a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Our Peer Supporters, with their own lived experience, focus on a holistic recovery approach helping moms, dads, couples, and adults meet their specific recovery goals and support the best outcomes for their families. Peer Support is available in conjunction with other Partnership for Children services or independently.
Chemical Dependency Evaluation for Parents and Youth Chemical dependency evaluations help addiction treatment professionals learn more about a person’s substance use so they can choose and develop the best possible treatments for that individual. This is usually the first step before starting treatment for substance abuse, and is typically completed in one 90 minute appointment. At Partnership for Children, team members work with parents and youth who may be struggling with substance use to provide outpatient services, and when necessary, refer to other community resources.
