Home Visiting Program
Description
Parents as Teachers is a national home visiting program for parents with children aged 0 to 5. Parent support specialists visit parents monthly. They discuss family strengths and challenges, healthy child development, and healthy relationships. They connect the family to community resources. They invite the family to child-friendly community activities. They give the family a new age-appropriate book with every visit. The program is free.
