Description

WIOA Adult serves income eligible adults, age 18 or older, who are seeking education and training services leading to employment. Services include case management, skill and career assessments, employability skills and job readiness raining, career planning, job search assistance, computer skills training, paid work experience and assistance with training-related costs.

State Displaced Homemaker serves individuals, age 18 or older, who have primarily worked in the home caring for family but find themselves having to enter the job market due to loss of family financial support because of divorce, separation, death or other extenuating circumstances. Services include case management, skill and career assessments, employability skills and job readiness training, career planning, job search assistance, computer skills training, and assistance with training-related costs.

WIOA Youth serves individuals, ages 16 to 24, who meet in or out of school eligibility requirements. Priority of service targets out-of-school youth who are pregnant or parenting, high school dropouts, have a disability, subject to the juvenile or adult justice system, homeless, in foster care or low-income. In-school youth must be low-income and have at least one barrier. Services include case management, career skill and career assessments, career awareness, work-based learning activities including paid work experience, financial literacy, job readiness and employability skills training and college planning for post-secondary education and assistance with training or education-related costs.

The Family Investment Center program serves residents who live in Helena Housing. Services include training and education services that help participants meet their immediate and long-term employment needs. Services include case management, career preparation, employability skills and job readiness training and financial support services that enable participants to attend training or attain employment. Montana's TANF program, Pathways, is designed to support families so they are stable, able to work and financially secure. To accomplish this, Montana contracts with agencies, such as Career Training Institute, to provide TANF Employment and Training services and supports to eligible TANF clients.
